Plainly, before anything else: Tikal National Park Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. Nothing you pay changes because you came through here.

What we are, and what we are not

We are a booking guide. We are not Tikal National Park, not Guatemala’s Ministry of Culture and Sports, not a seller of park tickets and not the operator of any tour listed here. Every booking is made with the operator through the platform that lists it, and their terms govern it.

How we are paid

Booking links go to Viator. When you follow one and complete a booking, Viator pays us a commission out of its own margin. You pay the same price whether or not you came through us.

Placement cannot be bought

No operator has paid to appear here, to appear higher, or to be described in a particular way. The tours featured at the top of the homepage were chosen for spread: a sunrise on Temple IV on the most-reviewed listing, a sunset tour that collects you as far away as San Ignacio and the Belize border, and a fly-in day from Guatemala City. The lowest fare is not among them, because it leaves both park tickets for you to pay.

Where the figures come from

Tour prices, ratings, review counts, inclusions and cancellation terms are the operators’ own. They were captured from the operators’ listings on Viator on 10 September 2026, they are set by each operator, and they are shown in US dollars as those listings show them. They move. Treat every tour price as indicative and confirm it on the booking page before you pay.

The park’s own fees are a different thing. They are set by Guatemala’s Ministry of Culture and Sports and are shown in quetzales, exactly as the ministry publishes them. The ministry quotes no price in dollars, so no page here converts one. Park hours, rules and the ways to buy a ticket come from the ministry’s ticket platform and newsroom; weather figures from the 1991–2020 climate normals for the Flores station; and the history from UNESCO and the published research.

What we leave out

One sunrise listing gives the park fees as “Q250 or USD 34”. The Q250 is the Q150 entrance plus the Q100 sunrise ticket; the dollar figure is the listing’s own, and no page here prints a dollar price for a park ticket. The same listing says tickets must be bought one day before. That is not a park rule: you can pay in cash at the gate on the day. It is sound advice for sunrise only, because the gate window opens after sunrise entry begins.

The Tikal Expedition listings describe themselves as private in some places and as shared transport in others, so neither is described here as “your group only”.

Ratings are theirs, not ours

We publish no ratings of our own and we mark up none of the operators’ ratings as structured data. The star scores and review counts are shown as visible text, labelled as the operator’s figures. The traveller reviews are paraphrases of real reviews left on those listings, never reproduced word for word and never invented.

Your rights

Nothing here removes any right you have against the operator or the platform. Read the cancellation terms on the booking page before you pay. Most tours listed here refund in full up to 24 hours ahead; the fly-in day trips do not refund at all. A park ticket bought from the ministry is never refundable.
